Charging the batteries

The batteries supplied are not charged.

To charge the batteries, insert the handset in the base sta- tion or Gigaset 3000L charging unit (accessory) – you will hear the confirmation beep. The charging status icon flashes on the handset display to indicate that a charging operation is in progress:

We recommend initially charging the batteries for at least 16 hours without interruption – irrespective of the charging status icon.

Once the first charging operation is complete, you can replace the handset in the base station after every call. Charging is controlled electronically. This ensures opti- mum charging and prolongs battery life.

The batteries heat up during charging.

The battery charging status is only displayed correctly after uninterrupted charging/discharging. You should therefore avoid opening the battery compartment unne- cessarily.
