Important Safety Information

The following describes how to maintain and use your phone safely.

xKeep your phone and its accessories out of the reach of children and pets.

xMaintain your phone in dry conditions and keep it within normal operating temperatures.

xTemperatures higher than 131°F (55°C) or lower than -4°F (-20°C) may damage your phone.

xDo not attempt to dry your phone in a microwave oven. If you do, arcing can occur and cause an explosion or fire.

xDo not use or store your phone in dusty or dirty areas.

xDo not attempt to disassemble your phone.

xDo not drop or cause severe impact to your phone.

xDo not use chemical products, cleaning solvents or detergents to clean your phone.

xIf your phone does not work properly, contact your dealer immediately.

xUse only authorized batteries, battery chargers and accessories. Any malfunction or damage caused by the use of unauthorized batteries, battery chargers and accessories will void the limited product warranty.

xEnsure that the battery and battery charger do not come into contact with conductive objects.

xFor optimal phone performance, use cases and accessories that do not contain magnets that may come into close proximity with the phone.

Do not use a phone while driving

Please check local laws and regulations with regard to the prohibition of phone use while driving and comply with them. Use of your phone while you are driving may disturb your concentration and result in an accident. Always switch your phone off and drive safely. If you need to use your phone in an emergency, either use a hands-free device or pull over to a safe place first.

Switch off your phone in restricted areas

Always switch your phone off in areas where phone use is restricted.

Switch off in explosive or dangerous areas

Always switch your phone off in areas where there are explosive or dangerous materials (such as fuel, fuel stations or areas containing chemical goods) and obey any instructions or signs. Do not remove your phone battery in such areas.

Switch off your phone in an aircraft

Always switch your phone off when you are on board an aircraft. The electromagnetic waves emitted by your phone may affect the electronic navigation equipment in the aircraft.

Switch off your phone in hospitals and near medical equipment

Always switch your phone off in hospitals and obey the regulations of the hospital. Switch your phone off when using medical equipment that may be affected by electromagnetic waves emitted from the phone. Consult the medical equipment’s manufacturer or an expert regarding phone use near the medical equipment.
