1. BASIC OPERATIONS

Please read and fully understand this manual before using your phone. This chapter addresses the basics of setting up your UTSTARCOM phone, its keys and display icons, and charging and proper use of the battery.

Installing the SIM Card and Battery

Be careful when handling, inserting and removing the SIM card. The card and its contents can be easily scratched or bent. Keep all miniature SIM cards out of the reach of children.

1.Turn the handset over and remove the battery by pulling up the battery lock.
