By customising your keys, you can access any function directly from the main screen.

8.7.1Auto lock
Your keypad would be locked automatically or you may also lock it
manually by holding down the 
key.
Unlock the keypad
Hold down the 
key when locked.
The keypad will be unlocked automatically on receiving a call or plugging in the charger.
8.7.2Backlight
Screen | • It allows you to reduce brightness for better |
| performance of batteries and save power during |

| customise its duration, 5s, 10s, 30s and 1min. |

Switch audio play (incoming call, message beep, alarm beep...) between Headset only and Phone&Headset.

Display language for messages (select using 
).The “Automatic” option selects the language according to the home network (if available).
8.7.5Dictionary
You have a dictionary to which you can add your own words in addition to those suggested by the predictive input system.When you consult your dictionary, you can add, modify or erase words by using the “Options” softkey.
8.7.6Input mode (2)
Please see chapter “Latin input mode”, page 71. In addition to the specific characters table for Cyrillic, Chinese, other data input modes are also available in your telephone. This feature allows you to write short messages and add names with special characters to your directory.
8.7.7Security
Activate PIN | • The SIM card protection code is requested each |
