Navigation Pad – Key Mapping

When you turn on the phone for the first time, UpStageTM begins an onscreen tutorial session which helps you better understand how to use the touch-sensitive Navigation Pad.

Each successful step takes you to additional screens where

you’ll learn another skill. Press to complete each screen and continue to the next page.

Key Map functions (see image at left) are activated with a single press:

•Left/Right Softkeys allow you to select softkey actions or menu items corresponding to the bottom left and right text on the display screen.

• Up Key ( MENU ) allows you to access the main menu. Use both the Up and Down keys to move focus up or down by a single row or entry with each touch.

•Left/Right Keys allow you to move focus left or right by a single entry or menu at a time with each touch.

•OK/Enter Key ( ) allows you to accept a highlighted selection.

•Back Key (lower-left) deletes characters from the display while in text entry mode. While in a menu, touching the Back key returns you to the previous menu.

•End Key (lower-right). Touch this key to exit from any screen and return to the idle/standby screen.

Note: This tutorial can be re-activated by launching the Menu >Tools > Phone Tutorial option.
