POWER SOURCES

Battery Power Operation

1.Open the battery compartment cover and insert two AAalkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. Follow the polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.

2.Close the battery compartment cover.

NOTE: When the unit is to be operated using batteries, always unplug the AC adaptor from the AC power outlet and the DC input jack from the set. Otherwise the player will not operate.

BATTERY WARNINGS

Do not mix old and new batteries.

Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.

Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.

Only adults should replace batteries.

Replace the batteries when the unit stops operating properly.

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged under adult supervision.

Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.

Remove exhausted batteries from the unit.

The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity.

Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.

AC Adaptor Operation (AC adaptor not included)

Note: Be sure the adaptor has an output rated at 4.5V DC (500 mA) with a center positive (+) plug

1.Insert the DC plug, at the end of the AC adaptor cord into the DC input jack, at the back of the unit.

2.Plug the AC adaptor into a 120V/ 60Hz AC power outlet socket.
