Playing a Video CD or CD-G

You can play video CDs either with or without the PBC function as well as CD-Gs.

1.Turn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view the pictures from the CD Player.

Refer also to the manual supplied for your TV.

2.Prepare a CD.

Refer to “Loading CDs” on page 22.

3. Start playback of the CD.

Press CD £/8(or 3on the CD Player control section on the remote control) to start playback of the currently selected CD, or press DISC 1-3 to select the disc and start play.

When you play a video CD, “VIDEO CD” appears on the display.

When CD £/8 (or 3on the CD Player control section on the remote control) or DISC 1-3 is pressed while the power is on standby, the power is automatically turned on.

To stop during play, press 7 STOP (or 7on the CD Player control section on the remote control). To stop play and remove the disc, press 0 for the disc being played.

Playing Video CDs with PBC Function — Menu Play ———

This System provides a Playback Control (PBC) function which utilizes a procedure (menu selection) programed in a video CD. The playback operation procedure may differ depending on the disc you use.

For Menu Play, use the following buttons:

On the unit:

 

NEXT (¢)

for viewing the unshown portion of the menu

PREV (PREVIOUS) (4)

for viewing the previously shown portion of the menu

VCD (Video CD) NUMBER +,

for selecting an item

SELECT (CD £/8)

for starting playback of the selected item,

RETURN (7 STOP)

for going back to the previous menu

On the remote control:

 

NEXT (¢)

for viewing the unshown portion of the menu

PREV (PREVIOUS) (4)

for viewing the previously shown portion of the menu
