CAUTION BEFORE FIRST USE

•Please read all of the instructions for use and the Important Safeguards carefully.

•The iron has been greased, and as a result, the iron may slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short while, this will cease.

•Before using for the first time, remove all packaging from the appliance. Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth.

•When starting, and while it is being used, the electric pump injects water into the boiler. It makes a noise but this is normal. If you are pressing on the steam control trigger at this time, you may lose a little steam for a few seconds.

HINTS

•Before using the appliance for the first time or if you have not used the steam function for a few minutes, press the steam control trigger several times in a row while holding the iron away from your clothes. This will enable any cold water to be removed from the steam connection cord

•For best results, use a mesh type ironing board to allow excess steam to escape.

IRONING: PRECAUTION FOR USE AND TEMPERATURES

•Always check first if a label with ironing instructions is attached to the article that needs to be ironed. Follow these ironing instructions in all cases.

•If ironing instructions are missing but you know the kind of fabric, then see the table for recommended ironing temperatures.
