Phosphate-	Perform well in hard or soft water.	Are not available in some areas.
Powdered Detergents	Wash all types of fabrics well.
	Can be used in hot, warm, or
	cold water.
Non-Phosphate-	Perform satisfactorily in soft	Generally do not clean well in
