Detergent Quantities

The quantity of detergent used depends on the size of the wash, the hardness of the water and the degree of soiling. Follow the instructions on the detergent packet.

Your local water supply company can supply information concerning the hardness of the water.

If the detergent manufacturer gives no quantity indications for reduced loads, use half less for a half load, and for small loads one third of the quantity for a full load.
