Common washer problems

Before calling for service, check these:

Is the lid closed?

Is the Cycle Control Knob set and pulled out?

Is the power cord firmly plugged into a live outlet with proper voltage?

Have you blown a household fuse or tripped a circuit breaker?

Are both the hot and cold water faucets turned on?

Are the water hoses kinked or clogged?

Is the drain hose lower than the water level in the washer? It must be higher.

Is the washer making noises (see page 8), or vibrating?

Is the wash load properly distributed around the agitator?

NOTE: Washer stops briefly during a wash cycle. These pauses are normal.

If none of these items was causing your problem, see “Requesting Assistance or Service” on page 21.
