You should notice that each of these buttons are light gray indicating that they are used with the A and * buttons.

To change any of these functions, first the function button should be pressed and then the or *to increase or decrease the function. It is not necessary to hold down the function button while pressing the A or * button. Simply press the function button once and then press the A or buttons.

When a function (light gray) button is pressed it will remain active until another function button is pressed. So that, for example, if you had been changing the zoom range and later want to change it again, you can just press either the or V button if no other function (light gray) button had been pressed since the zoom range button.

4.Depth: Automatic Mode: - In the automatic mode, the proper depth range is found as soon as the unit is turned on. As you move into deeper water and the bottom goes off the screen, the next deeper depth range will automatically be activated. Also, as water becomes shallower the depth range will automatically change to the next shallower scale. As the depth range changes, the scales to the right of the display will also change indicating the maximum depth of that range and also intermediate depths at one-third and two-thirds of the full scale.

The LCR 8000 has five depth ranges: 0 to 15 Ft., 0 to 30 Ft., 0 to 60 Ft., 0 to 120 Ft., and

0 to 240 Ft. The LCR 8000D has seven depth ranges: 0 to 30 Ft., 0 to 60 Ft., 0 to 120 Ft.,
