About the [MAINS] switches

The [MAINS] switches (on both the Power Supply unit and the I/O Center) only need to be switched off when you are not going to use the Disklavier for a long period of time. It is effectively the same as disconnecting the power cable from the AC wall outlet. For daily use, you can keep the [MAINS] switches on, and turn the Disklavier on and off by following the procedure “Turning the Disklavier Off (Standby Mode)” ( pg. 12).
