FS­100 and FAT 32

The FAT32 file system limits file size to a maximum of 2GB which, depending on record mode and resolution, approximately equals the following minutes of video:

When clips exceed 2GB in size, the FS­100 automatically creates a new, file without dropping any frames. The two files have the same root filename but have different two digit suffixes that indicate the order of their creation, ­01, ­02, and so on. This process can produce as many sequential 2GB files as the drive can hold.
