4.Keep quiet and relax during measurement. To obtain accurate readings, wait one hour after a meal or smoking before taking a measurement.

5.Wait at least 5 minutes before taking the next measurement. Atherosclerosis and diabetes patients require longer intervals (10-15 minutes), since vessel elasticity may have decreased in these pathologies.
