TIPS FOR OBTAINING ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS

Your blood pressure varies according to your posture, the time of day and a range of other factors. Ideally, you should measure your blood pressure in the same posture at the same time every day.

Taking measurements while sitting

1Place your arm on a table or similar surface with your forearm extended.

2 It is important to have the cuff level with your heart.

3Open your hand slightly on the table so that your palm is facing up and your

fingers are relaxed.

4Do not move your body or talk while taking the measurement.

Measurement in a reclining posture

* Relax yourself to avoid placing pressure on the cuff.
