Both left and right sides must be in drive mode for power chair to operate. Otherwise the Powerchair will flash fault code of 9 lights and will not operate.

Smartie Drive/Freewheel Mechanism

The drive/freewheel levers are found toward the rear of the Powerchair, one on top left and one bottom right. These levers will allow you to disengage the drive mechanism and push the Powerchair while in freewheel mode. (FIG. 4A)

Jiffy/Jiffy11 Drive/Freewheel Mechanism

The drive/freewheel levers are found toward the front of the Powerchair, one on each side, located at the end of each motor. These levers will allow you to disengage the drive mechanism and push the Powerchair while in freewheel mode. (FIG. 4)
