Manual Freewheel Lever

Whenever you need or want to push your scooter for short distances, you can put it in freewheel mode.

WARNING! When your scooter is in freewheel mode, the braking system is disengaged.

νDisengage the drive motors only on a level surface.

νEnsure the key is removed from the key switch.

νStand behind the scooter to engage or disengage freewheel mode. Never sit on a scooter to do this.

νAfter you have finished pushing your scooter, always return it to the drive mode to lock the brakes.

Failure to heed the above could result in personal injury and/or damage to your scooter.

OPERATION OF THE MANUAL FREEWHEEL LEVER

νOnly put the scooter in freewheel mode when on a flat surface with the key removed.

νPull UP FIRMLY on the manual freewheel lever when putting the scooter into freewheel mode.

νPush DOWN FIRMLY to engage drive mode.

νThe manual freewheel lever is located on the end of the motor/transaxle assembly at the left rear of the scooter, and extends through the rear shroud. See figure 7.

νPull up on the manual freewheel lever to disable the drive system and the brake system. You will then be able to push your scooter.

νPush down on the manual freewheel lever to reengage the drive system and the brake system and to take your scooter out of freewheel mode.

Motor/Transaxle Assembly

The motor/transaxle assembly consists of a geared transmission and differential. This one piece, direct drive, fully sealed assembly provides quiet operation with maximum power and long life. See figure 7.

Anti-Tip Wheels

The anti-tip wheels are an integral and important safety feature of your scooter. Do not, under any circumstances, remove the anti-tip wheels from your scooter.

WARNING! Do not remove the anti-tip wheels or modify your scooter in any way that is not authorized by Pride.
