Call Tone

The Call Tone obtains others’ attention before you start talking. Press ^ and users using the same Channel and Code (T5400 only) will hear your Call Tone. T5400 has 5 Call Tones, T5300 has 1 Call Tone. Setting the Call Tone to 0 disables ^.

With the radio On:

for T5400, press \ 3 times and current Call Tone setting 0-5, will begin to flash. E will appear in the upper portion of the display.

for T5300, press \ 2 times and you can scroll between 0 and 1.

Use [ and ] to change and hear Call Tone while flashing.

Press \ or M to set new Call Tone.

Roger Beep/Talk Confirmation Tone

When you turn on this feature, your two-way radio transmits a unique tone when you finish transmitting. It’s like saying “Roger” or “Over” and lets others know you’re finished talking.

To enable Roger Beep/Talk Confirmation Tone, press and hold ] as you turn

your radio On. Now, when you release M, your set tone lets your friends know you’re finished talking and !will be on the display.

To disable the Talk Confirmation Tone feature, turn your radio Off and then back On while pressing and holding ]. ! will not appear.
