VDIRECT CONNECT WITH THE KROWN 100

The Direct Connect feature saves your time and gives you a better connection. You can use your Krown 100 without having to place the telephone handset into acoustic cups. It also gives you the choice of dialing from the keyboard or from numbers stored in the Phone Directory (see page 19).

To connect your Krown 100 to your telephone line, plug one end of your modular telephone cord into the telephone wall jack. Plug the other end into either jack on the back of your Krown 100.

After chaning to Direct Connect, it is necessary to press the SPACE BAR or SHIFT + DIAL to connect with the telephone line.

KEYBOARD DIALING

Turn the Power Switch ON. The Krown 100 will automatically change to and remain in Direct Connect when you have your unit plugged into the telephone line.

SHIFT + DIAL

TYPE NUMBER OR A-Z

TDD is now ready to dial.

 

 

 

If the Krown 100 is not plugged into the phone line, the screen will display:

LINE NOT CONNECTED Check the phone line and press

SHIFT + DIAL again.

Type the number you want to dial and press...

The number is display.

CHECK FOR DIAL TONE...

 

 

 

TDD is now dialing.

If you make a mistake dialing, you must press and hold:

The phone line is now cleared and you may begin dialing again.
