Installing and Using Your Q90D

Setting Up Your Q90D

Lock Switch

1.Slide the LOCK switch (which is located on the right side of the unit below the ESC key) to the OFF position before using your Q90D.

2.Slide the LOCK switch to the ON position before moving the Q90D to another location.

Turning the Q90D ON and

OFF

1.To turn ON the Q90D, press the Power key.

2.To turn OFF the Q90D, hold down CTRL and press Power again.

Placing TTY Calls

Dialing Manually from the Q90D Keyboard

1.Turn ON the Q90D.

2.Press F1 and type in a phone number.

3.Press Return and after the call is answered, start typing.

4.To turn OFF the Q90D, hold down CTRL and press Power.

To hang up and make another call, hold down CTRL and press F1 instead.

Dialing from the Q90D Phone Directory

1.Turn ON the Q90D.

2.Press F1 to enter DIAL mode.

3.Type the name of the person you are calling or press one of the Arrow keys until the desired name appears.

4.Press Return to DIAL the name that you have selected.

5.After the call is answered, start typing.

6.To turn OFF the Q90D, hold down CTRL and press Power.

To hang up, hold down CTRL and press F1 instead.

Dialing from a Digital Cellular or Cordless Telephone

1.Connect the cell or cordless phone to the Q90D using the phone cord.

2.Turn ON the Q90D.

3.DIAL the telephone number using the cellular or cordless telephone.

4.When the call is answered, start typing.

5.To turn OFF the Q90D, hold down CTRL and press Power.
