N O T E If there is background noise in your area, you may have difÞculty hearing a callerÕs voice or messages. To resolve this problem:

1.Press until you see the ÒMuteÓ menu option.

2.To listen, press under ÒMuteÓ. The display changes from ÒPhone In UseÓ to ÒPhone MuteÓ, indicating that the microphone is muted.

3.To speak, press under ÒMuteÓ again. The display changes from ÒPhone MuteÓ to ÒPhone In UseÓ, indicating that the microphone is on.

While the microphone is muted, you can hear incoming audio, but a caller cannot hear any speech coming from your i2000 phone.

Receiving a Phone Call

1.Press or press any numeric key (0 through 9).

2.To activate the speakerphone, select

ÒSpkrÓ soft key, or press .

3.To end the call, press .

Missed Call Indicator

Your i2000 phone notiÞes you of received, but unanswered phone calls. If you subscribe to Caller ID, the callerÕs phone number is stored in your Last 10 Calls Received list. Your screen displays a ßashing message, for example, Ò2 Rcvd CallsÓ, with the number of missed calls.

Press any key to clear the ßashing indicator.

To retrieve the missed calls:

1. From the Phone Ready screen, press

. The menu options change to ÒCallsÓ and ÒPrgmÓ.
