PREPARATION

INSTALLING A BATTERY

You need one 9V battery (not supplied) to provide backup pow- er for the CID-932’s memory in the event of a power failure. For the best performance, we recommend an alkaline battery, avail- able at your local RadioShack store.

Cautions:

Use only a fresh battery of the required size and recom- mended type.

Always remove old or weak batteries. They can leak chem- icals that can damage electronic circuits.

Follow these steps to install the battery.

1.Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw from the battery compartment cover.

2.Lift the cover in the direction of the arrow.

3.Place a fresh battery in the compartment, as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and ) marked inside.

4.Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.
