PREPARATION

INSTALLING BATTERIES/SETUP

You need four AAA batteries (not supplied) to power the system. For the longest operation and best performance, we recommend alkaline batteries, such as RadioShack Cat. No.

23-558.(illustration) Cautions:

Always use fresh batteries of the required size and type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of bat- teries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

Follow these steps to install batteries and program the sys- tem.

Note: When replacing the batteries, install the new ones within 1 minute, or the system’s date and time will be lost. (The Caller ID information, however, stays stored in the sys- tem’s memory.)
