The FR-230 is equipped with an LED display to indicate its settings and functions. Pressing the P (Push-to-Talk), monitor, function select or call buttons, will illuminate the display. The dis- play will remain lit for 5 seconds after any of these buttons is pressed.

1	Illuminates red when transmitting
2	Illuminates green when the battery power is low.
3	Displays the current channel number (1 to 14).
