USING YOUR FR-240
Turning the Transceiver on
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. The display backlighting will illuminate and a conformation beep tone will confirm the transceiver’s activation. To turn the unit off, simply press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
Button Conformation Tones
Whenever, the FUNCTION SELECT, UP or DOWN buttons are pressed, the transceiver will play a tone to confirm each press.
Low Battery Alert
The battery icon on the LCD displays the current charge level of the transceiver’s batteries. Three squares indicates a fully charged set. As the charge level of the batteries deteriorates, the display will represent the batteries weakened
state with fewer squares. When the batteries are in need of replacement or charging, the Low battery indicator battery indicator LED will flash and the transceiver will beep to alert the user.
