Press this button on the right side of the Transceiver to light the white LED (15) on top of the unit, thereby activating the
Power On-Off/SCAN Button (13)
Press and hold the power on/off button ( 
) for 2 seconds.You will hear a dual beep to indicate the unit is on. Press the on/off button again for 2 seconds to turn the unit off. When the unit is on and the button is pres- sed momentarily, the scan mode is enabled or disabled; when enabled,
the scan icon (SCAN) appears on the display.
