Troubleshooting and Tips

The player can’t read the disc or NO DISC displays in the LCD:

!The disc is scratched or dirty. Try a better quality disc.

!Water condensation has occurred in the lens. Place the player indoors for several hours.

!Check if the disc is loaded upside down.

There is no sound coming from the earphone:

!The earphone cord may be broken.

!The earphone jack may be dirty.

!Check the volume setting.

When you press a button, HOLD displays in the LCD:

!Switch RESU/NOR/HOLD to NOR or RESU.

After reading the disc, “00-00:00” flashes and “NO FILE” displays in the LCD.

!There are no files in the MP3 DISC. Please change the disc or press PLAY > to try again.

!The disc is scratched or dirty. Please change the disc or press PLAY > to try again.

Batteries can only be used for very short time.

!Zn-Mn batteries are being used. Replace them with alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries.

!The batteries’ life is expired. Replace the batteries.

The time display moves erratically when playing MP3 CDs:

!You may be playing VBR (Variable Bitrate) MP3s.
