CHOOSING THE POWER SOURCES

You can use the AC power or batteries as a power source.

To a wall outlet

NOTE: The polarized

BATTERY DOOR

plug has two blades with

(on the bottom of the set)

one wider than the other.

TIP:

Replace all the batteries with new ones when the POWER lamp dims or the player stops operating. Before you replace all the batteries, be sure to take out the disc from the player and remember to check the Battery Safety Instructions on Page 3.

If the discs do not play on batteries, this means the batteries are almost used up. But the radio may continue to play on these weak batteries because it uses less power than the disc player.

1. Connecting the AC power

Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord into the socket located at the rear of the set, and the other end into the 120V standard household outlet.

2. Using the player on batteries

Remove the AC plug from the back of the set and wall outlet, then insert 6 size “D” batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment as shown. Observe (+) and (-) polarities.
