Selecting different playing options – MODE

With a conventional portable CD player, you might have experienced that the music stopped e.g. when jogging. The ELECTRONIC SKIP PROTECTION protects against loss of sound caused by vibrations and shocks. Continuous playback is ensured. However, it does not protect the set against any damage caused by dropping!

It is possible to play tracks in random order, to repeat a track or the CD and to play the first few seconds of each track.

1 Press MODE during playback as often as necessary

until the display shows either:

y SHUFFLE: All tracks of the CD are played in random

order until all of them have been played once.

y SHUFFLE REPEAT ALL: All tracks of the CD are

played repeatedly in random order.

Switch the slider to ESP during playback to activate

y ESP is shown and the protection is activated.

 

To deactivate the shock protection, switch the slider

ESP

 

to OFF .

 

y ESP goes off and the protection is deactivated.

Note: When playing MP3 tracks, the display MP3 , and the ESP feature is automatically activated, regardless of the ESP switch setting.

y REPEAT: The current track is played repeatedly.

y REPEAT ALL: The entire CD is played repeatedly .

ySCAN: The first 10 seconds of each of the remaining tracks are played in sequence.

2Playback starts in the chosen mode after 2 seconds.

3To return to normal playback, press MODE until the display indication disappears.
