Lock/unlock the keys

When the player is on, use the lock to prevent accidental operation.

Briefly press/ to lock or unlock the keys.

»All buttons except the volume keys are locked and the display shows a lock icon.

Select the safe volume

Select the safe volume when you listen through the by-packed earphones.

1Press / VOLUME.

»The volume screen is displayed.

2Press to select the safe volume.

Tip

For the SafeSound options, see ‘Sound settings’ (see ‘SafeSound’ on page 42).

For video play, exit the play screen to select the safe volume.

Screen on/off

To save power, the screen switches off automatically after the pre-defined time duration if

no new action is taken on ARIAZ; and

a value is selected in > [Display settings] > [Backlight timer].

To exit the power-saving mode

Press any key.
