Charging Your Player

Your player has a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that will provide up to 12 hours of play time.

The battery should be charged fully (minimum 4 hours) before its initial use to ensure optimum lifetime performance.

To charge your player:

AC Adapter: Plug one end of the sup- plied AC Adapter into the DC 5V Power Jack and plug the other end into a 100- 240V wall outlet.

USB Port: Your player can be charged through its USB MSC Port. Charging

through the USB MSC port will take longer than charging with the AC Adapter.

1.Set your player’s USB Charge option to “On” (refer to the

Setup section for details).

2.While your player is off, plug

one end of the USB cable into the USB MSC Port and plug the other end into the USB port of a powered-on computer.

The battery used in this device may present a fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not, disassemble, incinerate, or heat the battery.

Do not connect the power plug to a power outlet other than that which is indicated here and on the label as this may result in the risk of fire or electric shock.

Do not handle the power plug with wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock.

Use only AC adapters of the type specified here. Failure to do so may case a fire or damage the player.

Turning Your Player On/Off

Slide left to lock

 

 

 

• To turn the player on, slide the Power/Lock switch to the right.

To turn the player off, slide and hold the Power/Lock switch to the

 

 

right until you see the “Goodbye!” screen.

Locking/Unlocking Your Player’s Controls (Hold)

When engaged, the Lock feature disables your player’s controls to pre- vent accidental key presses when it is in your pocket or bag.

• To lock the player, slide the Power/Lock switch to the left (it will click into place). The Lock icon will appear on-screen.

To unlock the player, slide the Power/Lock switch to the right to release it from the Lock posi- tion.
