The Martin Audio AQ8 is a two-way passive loudspeaker designed to give excellent sonic performance from a compact and architecturally neutral, vented enclosure. It features an 8" (200mm) long-throw, direct radiating bass unit with a 2" (50mm) voice coil, and a 1" (25mm) diaphragm, 1" (25mm) exit compression driver coupled to a constant directivity HF horn.

The AQ8’s compact size makes it perfect for high quality distributed sound systems in clubs, bars, AV presentations, places of worship, museums, foyers, sports venues and exhibition centres. Its excellent headroom makes it suitable for supplementary live sound applications, such as theatre front fills and delay systems, and its sonic accuracy makes it appropriate for small to medium scale post production applications.

The AQ8 features a generously sized high frequency horn and a high order crossover for superior pattern control down into the low midrange and smooth off-axis characteristics. The AQ8 is housed in a heavily braced MDF enclosure and fitted with a flush, acoustically transparent steel grille. The enclosure is fitted with six M8 inserts for fitting AQWB8, AQCS, or AQCL brackets to allow for horizontal or vertical mounting, plus two additional M8 inserts for either a safety point or fitting the AQFB Flying Bracket.

A Martin Audio AQX Electronic Controller is available to provide AQ8/subwoofer crossover, limiter and trim functions.
