CONTROL TOWER FEATURES
MAIN POWER SWITCH / HEADPHONE MODE
The power switch is located on the lower left side of the Control Tower. Depress and hold for a few seconds to power on and off the system. This switch also acts to engage the headphones. Momentarily pressing the switch engages the headphones and removes power from the main speakers to save energy. While engaging the headphones, "HP" is indicated in the digital readout. In headphone mode, only the preamplifier and headphone amplifier are powered, giving the lowest possible noise floor. To return to speaker mode, momentarily press the power switch.
MAIN VOLUME CONTROL
The large main volume knob adjusts overall system volume. The digital volume display reads from "0 to 80" which corresponds to actual decibel increments. If this knob is turned slowly, the volume steps will be in 1dB increments. If the knob is turned quickly, the volume increase will be accordingly accelerated.
ADJUSTING CENTER, REAR AND SUBWOOFER LEVELS
Each of the center, rear and sub adjustment knobs will automatically change the main readout to display the current level. The corresponding level will show once the knob is turned in either direction, and will do so for approximately three seconds on the digital display. The adjustment knob range is from

PORTABLE MUSIC PLAYER INPUT
This convenient stereo input will accommodate a wide variety of audio sources without interrupting the computer setup. This also allows blending the auxiliary input signal with the (Main) soundcard signal source. MP3 portable audio players, gaming consoles, or any other source with a stereo
NOTE: The main volume and subwoofer level controls will affect this input source, while center and rear levels will not. The stereo source will only come through the front channels, since this is a
NOTE: During playback of MP3 files, overall sound quality may be perceptibly degraded (noise/distortion) compared to other audio sources such as CD. This is caused by the encoding method and quality of the MP3 file or the portable player itself. It is recommended that MP3 files be encoded at a minimum
