CDs are divided in units called tracks. (Generally one track corresponds to one song. Tracks are sometimes further divided into indexes.)

DVDs are divided in units called titles, which are further divided in chapters. They also include menu screens that do not belong to any title. With movies, normally one movie corresponds to one title. On karaoke discs, one song corresponds to one title. Some discs are not divided in this way, however, so be careful when using

the search and programming functions.
