CHOOSING A POWER SOURCE
You can power your CD player from:
•Internal battery power (using two AA alkaline or rechargeable

Installing Batteries
1.Slide off the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow.

2.Insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment according to the polarity symbols (+ and

Notes:
•Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
•Never mix fresh and old, alka- line and
•To help you remove the batter- ies later, place them across the ribbon.
3.Replace the cover.
Notes:
•Replace the batteries when BATT appears on the display, the sound distorts, or the volume weakens.
•Always dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
• Never leave dead, old, or weak batteries in the CD player. They can leak chemicals and corrode or damage electronic circuits.
