TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service.

Symptom

Possible Cause

Radio

 

Noise or sound

Station not tuned properly for

distorted on AM or FM

AM or FM.

FM: Rod antenna is not

AM: The bar antenna is not

 

positioned correctly.

AM or FM no sound.

Function switch is not set to

Volume at minimum.

Compact Disc Player

 

CD Player will not play.

Function switch is not set to

 

CD.

 

CD is not installed or installed

 

incorrectly.

CD skips while playing.

Disc is dirty or scratched.

Solution

Retune the AM or FM broadcast station. Extend FM Rod antenna.

Reposition the unit until best reception is obtained. Set function switch to AM or FM.

Increase Volume.

Set unction switch to CD.

Insert CD with Iabel side facing out.

Wipe disc with cloth or use another disc.
