IfyouhavetroubleconnectingtheNP30toyournetwork,thesestepsmay helptoresolvetheproblem:

Confirm that a connected PC can access the Internet (i.e. can browse the web)usingthesamenetwork.

CheckthataDHCPserverisavailable,orthatyouhaveconfiguredastatic IPaddressontheNP30.YoucanconfigureastaticIPaddressontheNP30 using the menu item ‘Settings -> Network Config -> Edit Config’, and then select‘No’for‘Auto(DHCP)’.DHCPishowevertherecommendedmethod.

Checkthatyournetwork’sfirewallisnotblockinganyoutgoingports.Asa minimum, the radio needs access to UDP and TCP ports 80, 554, 1755, 5000,6000and7070.

CheckyouraccesspointdoesnotrestrictconnectionstoaparticularMAC addresses. You can view the radio’s MAC address using the menu item ‘Settings->NetworkConfig->ViewConfig->MACaddress’.

If you have an encrypted Wi-Fi network, check that you have entered the correctkeyorpassphraseintotheNP30.Rememberthattext-formatkeys arecasesensitive.If,whenattemptingtoconnecttoanencryptednetwork, yourNP30displays:‘Wirelesserror’followedbya5-digitnumber,thenplease ensurethatyouenterthecorrectpassphraseforthenetwork.Iftheproblem persists,thenyoumayneedtoconsultyournetworkconfiguration.

IfyourNP30canconnecttothenetworksuccessfully,butisunabletoplay particularUuVolstations,itmaybeduetooneofthefollowingcauses:

Thestationisnotbroadcastingatthistimeoftheday(rememberitmaybe locatedinadifferenttimezone).

The station has reached the maximum allowed number of simultaneous listeners.

Thestationisnotbroadcastinganymore.

If attempting to play 24 bit WAV or FLAC content note a wired Ethernet connection is normally required for reliable operation due to bandwidth considerations.
