AC power

1.Check if the AC power supply, as shown on the type plate located on the

bottom of the set, corre- sponds to your local power supply. If it does not, consult your dealer or service center.

2.Connect the power cord to the wall outlet. The set is now ready for use.

Helpful Hints:

To disconnect the power supply, unplug the set from the wall outlet.

Disconnect the power supply to protect your set during heavy thunderstorms.

Backup battery (not included. See 1)

Insert 1 x 9V battery (preferably alkaline) with the correct polarity.

Helpful Hints:

Change the battery twice a year or as often as required to ensure fresh battery supply and to prevent battery leakage. To safeguard the clock, timer and preset station settings, keep the set connected to AC power when replacing the battery.

Incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage and will corrode the compartment or cause the batteries to burst.

Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.
