Turning on or off the player

¥Press and hold to turn on the player.

¥Press and hold to turn off the player.

Locking the keys

Press and hold m to lock (or unlock) keys to prevent accidental key activation.

To unlock the keys after the screensaver has activated, press and then press and hold m while the message ÒPress and hold m to unlockÓ is displayed.

Menus

Types of menu

There are two types of menu: 1. Player menu

The player menu allows you to:

¥browse for music, audible, picture and video files for playback,

¥listen to the radio,

¥access the pedometer, stopwatch and BMI (Body Mass Index) functions,

¥adjust the playerÕs settings (e.g. brightness, language),

¥check the system firmware version and memory usage.

2. Option menu

The option menu allows you to:

¥delete files, add music files in your favorite playlist (My Selections), save radio frequency as preset station etc.

¥The actual items available depend on the mode or type of file you are playing (e.g.

music, radio, audiobooks) by the time you access the option menu.

Accessing the menus

Press m to access the player and option menus.

When the player is playing or paused:

When the player is neither playing nor paused. This happens when the player is turned on and no file is selected for playback.
