THE BASIC MACHINES

AUXILIARY HANDLE

An Auxiliary Handle is supplied with this tool and can be mounted on either side of the gear housing. This handle should be used to give complete control of the machine. Assemble handle to machine as follows:

1.CAUTION: DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.

2.Slide one of the washers (F) and then the hex spacer (B) onto the bolt (See Fig. 1).

3.Place collar (C) over the hex spacer and position the bolt assembly to either the left or right handle boss.

4.Align and seat hex spacer into the hex socket of the handle boss.

5.Place the other washer onto bolt and secure with hex nut (G). Tighten securely. (See Fig. 2).

6.Thread auxiliary handle into collar. The handle and collar may be tightened in any one of four positions (See Fig. 3). Move handle and collar to approximate desired position and tighten securely.
