NOTE: The air fi lter cannot remove dirt from blower and ducts.

INSTALLATION

The following is a typical installation of the air fi lter on a “Highboy” furnace (Figure 7).

1.Place the air fi lter compartment on the fl oor. Stand it upright with the door facing you (Figure 2). If a horizontal installation is being planned, lay the compartment on its side, this will help you to visualize the relative location of all parts.

2.Remove the door (by grasping top and pulling door away from compartment) and set it aside. Remove 4” fi lter by grasping it at the top and bottom. Set in a safe location until the cabinet is installed.

3.Set the compartment next to the furnace (if possible) to match the opening in the compartment.

If the furnace opening cannot be enlarged, a transition fi tting should be used. (Figure 3).

The compartment can be attached directly (Figure 12), or a starting collar can fi rst be fi tted to the furnace inlet. A butt or slip joint can be used.

Securely attach the compartment to furnace inlet, using at least two of the mounting holes on each side of the compartment.

4.Using butt joint, attach duct work (normally an elbow) to the upstream side of air fi lter compartment. (Note the use of the sheet metal turning vanes inside the elbow to improve air distribution.) (Figure 13)

tting should be used. Gradual transitions are preferred for greatest effi ciency. Not more than four inches per linear foot (approximately 20° angle) should be allowed (Figure 3).

5.Connect the vertical duct section to the elbow.Wedge a wood block between floor and elbow for support (Figure 14).

6.Seal all joints in the return air system downstream from the air fi lter with duct tape to prevent dust from entering the air stream. Tape is usually applied on the outside of ducts, but may also be applied on the inside, or both.

7.With the air fi lter compartment installed, re-install 4” fi lter and door. (Figure 2)

MAINTENANCE

For maximum effi ciency, your air fi lter should be inspected once a month and changed if dirt loading is heavy. When changing is required, the following procedure should be used.

1.Remove door from air fi lter compartment.

2.Remove 4” fi lter and discard.

3.Insert new 4” fi lter by sliding it into the compartment. (Note direction of air fl ow.)

4.Replace door.

!CAUTION

The fiber filter used in this cabinet for air cleaning must be replaced every 90 to 180 days. Your heating and cooling efficiency will decrease due to insufficient air flow when filter becomes dirty.

ACM1000M-XXX, ACM1600M-XXX, ACM1400M-XXX, ACM2000M-XXX specifications

The Emerson ACM series of controllers represents the forefront of advanced control technology in industrial applications. Among these, the ACM2000M-XXX, ACM1600M-XXX, ACM1000M-XXX, and ACM1400M-XXX models stand out due to their impressive features and capabilities.

One of the defining characteristics of the ACM series is its enhanced processing speed. Equipped with powerful microprocessors, these controllers ensure fast data processing and real-time decision-making, which is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency in demanding environments. The ACM2000M, for instance, has a processing capability that supports complex algorithms and predictive analytics, allowing for improved operational insights.

All models in the ACM series are designed with user-friendliness in mind. They feature intuitive interface designs, including a bright LCD display that provides real-time data and diagnostics. This makes it easier for operators to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues quickly. The layout of the controls is thoughtfully arranged to facilitate seamless interaction, significantly reducing response times during critical situations.

In terms of connectivity, these controllers support various communication protocols, such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and BACnet, enhancing their compatibility with other devices and systems. This enables seamless integration into existing infrastructure and allows for centralized monitoring and control, streamlining operations across multiple systems.

The ACM series is also notable for its robust security features. Built-in cybersecurity measures safeguard against unauthorized access, ensuring that sensitive data and control processes remain protected. This is particularly important in industries where data integrity and privacy are paramount.

Moreover, the ACM series is distinguished by its modular architecture, allowing for easy expansion and customization. Users can add additional modules as requirements evolve, making these controllers a flexible solution that adapts to changing operational demands.

Reliability is another hallmark of the Emerson ACM series. Designed for tough industrial environments, these controllers undergo rigorous testing to ensure they can withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, and vibration. This durability minimizes downtime and maintenance costs, thereby enhancing the overall productivity of operations.

In summary, the Emerson ACM2000M-XXX, ACM1600M-XXX, ACM1000M-XXX, and ACM1400M-XXX controllers embody cutting-edge control technology with features such as high processing speed, user-friendly interfaces, robust connectivity options, stringent security measures, modular design, and exceptional durability. These characteristics make them ideal solutions for industries seeking to optimize performance and adapt to ever-changing operational needs.
