OPERATION

OPTIONAL Edge guide

See Figure 23.

Use the optional edge guide, part no. 969862009, when making long or wide rip cuts with the saw.

To assemble edge guide: Unplug the saw.

Place edge guide through holes in base as shown in the figure.

Adjust edge guide to the width needed.

Tighten edge guide lock knob securely.

 

To use edge guide:

 

Secure the workpiece.

 

Position the face of the edge guide firmly against the edge

of workpiece.

Guide the saw along the edge to achieve a straight rip

 

cut.

 

NOTE: The guiding edge of the workpiece must be straight

 

for the cut to be straight. Use caution to prevent the blade

 

from binding in the cut.

OPTIONAL DUST NOZZLE KIT

See Figure 24.

You may purchase a dust nozzle kit, part no. 200673001, for use with the saw. The adaptor fits over the dust chute which is located on the upper blade guard. The nozzle attaches to the adaptor.

NOTE: If you use the nozzle, you should always connect it to a standard vacuum hose.

To attach dust nozzle:

Unplug the saw.

Lift lower blade guard.

Orient adaptor to fit into the dust chute opening on upper blade guard.

Secure adaptor with screw provided.

Align hole in nozzle with raised lip on adaptor and snap into place when using a vacuum hose.
