Preparing Your Plasma HDTV for Wall Mounting
The VIZIO VP42 HDTV can either be kept on the stand base or mounted on the wall for viewing. If you choose to mount the VP42 HDTV on the wall, please follow the instructions below for removing the stand base.
To remove the stand base
1.Unplug all of the cables and cords from your VP42 HDTV.
2.Place the VP42 HDTV face down on a soft and flat surface (blanket, foam, cloth, etc) to prevent any damage to the TV.
3.Remove the four (4) screws on each side of the back panel of the VP42 HDTV located near the bottom so that the stand base can be removed (see Figure A).
4.Gently pull the stand away from the VP42 HDTV by grasping firmly on the base.

5.Now, the VP42 HDTV can fir securely to a mount (sold separately) by utilizing the mounting holes in the center of the back panel of the TV (see Figure B). Please make sure to read the instructions of your specific mount to properly hang the VP42 HDTV.
