1 - WARNINGS

It is essential that you read these instructions carefully and comply with the following recommendations.

•For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).

•Before use, always check that the appliance, plug and power cord are in good condition.

•Do not pull on the power cable or the appliance, even to unplug it from the wall socket.

•Never insert objects into the appliance (e.g. needles...).

•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

•This device can be used by children over 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience or knowledge, only if they are properly supervised or if they have received instructions as to how to use the device safely and they understand the implicit risks. Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance. Children should not clean or perform maintenance proce- dures on the appliance unless they are supervised by a responsible adult.

•Children should be supervised to ensure they do not put their fingers through the safety grids.

•Always unroll the power cord completely before use.

•Do not use your appliance in a dusty room or a room where there is a risk of fire.

•This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It must therefore not be used in industrial applications.

•The warranty will be void in the event of damage arising from improper use.

•If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a person with similar qualifications to avoid any danger.

THIS FAN IS EQUIPPED WITH AN ANTI-MOSQUITO SYSTEM (VF4021)

-Use only commercial solid refills, compatible with electric vaporisers,

-Comply with the manufacturer’s instructions for the use of the refills (some products used by the refill manufacturers are damaging to the environment).

-The cartridge refills are not supplied with the appliance.

-Do not operate the anti-mosquito system without a refill,

-Allow the anti-mosquito system to cool before handling.

2 - VERY IMPORTANT

•NEVER ALLOW WATER TO PENETRATE THE APPLIANCE.

•DO NOT TOUCH THE APPLIANCE WITH WET HANDS.

•Do not use your appliance near inflammable objects or products. In general, you should always place the appliance at least 50 cm away from any object (walls, curtains, aerosol, etc.).

•Before operating, please ensure that :

-The appliance is positioned in accordance with the instructions in this manual.

-The appliance is assembled according to the manufacturers instructions.

-The appliance is placed on a stable horizontal support.

-The appliance is in a normal operating position (in an upright position on its feet).

• Only substances recommended for diffusion with the appliance should be used.

•The use of other substances can lead to a risk of toxicity or fire.

•This appliance must not be used in a damp room.

3 - VOLTAGE

•Before first use, ensure that the voltage, frequency and power of your appliance are suitable for your electrical supply.

•Your appliance can be used with a power plug without an earth connection. It is a class II appliance (dual electrical insulation ).

4 - ASSEMBLING

•Your appliance is supplied unassembled. For your safety, it is essential to assemble it correctly.

•You must set and use your appliance in compliance with the standards in force in your country.

5 - OPERATION

CAUTION : Do not try to raise the button (A) when the appliance is in use, as you could damage the oscillation mechanism.

OPERATION OF THE ANTI-MOSQUITO SYSTEM (VF4021)

Before handling the anti-mosquito system, it is recommended to allow it to cool and to turn off the appliance.

1.Open the protective cover of the anti-mosquito system (fig. 1)

2.Insert the refill under the protective grill of the diffuser, taking into account of the refill supplier’s recommendations (fig. 2)

3.Check that the refill is properly inserted (fig. 3)

4.Close the cover (fig. 4)

5.Set the anti-mosquito system control knob to the “ON” position (fig.5)

IMPORTANT: We advise you to unplug your appliance when you are not using it.
