Care Cycle

We recommend replacing the active carbon filter every six months.

Clean the filter as offen as necessary when odour persists.

1 Fill a large container with lukewarm water, add a mild kitchen detergent and stir.

Dilute as indi -

cated on the de- tergent container.

2 Allow the filter to soak ap- proximately 10 minutes .

3 Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

CAUTION

If rinsing in a c o n t a i n e r, b e sure to rinse 3 t o 4 t i m e s s o that the odour is rinsed thorough- ly from the filter.

4 Remove excess water.

The filter will be saturated with wa- ter after rinsing. To decrease drying time, wrap the filter in an old thick towel so that excess water can be removed.

CAUTION

Some carbon may adhere to the towel, if you towel -dry the filter, but it is harmless.

5 Dry filter completely in a well ventilated area. If possible, dry outdoors.

CAUTION

Avoid drying filter outdoors during inclement weather (e.g. rain or cold temperatures).

Do not allow filter to freeze.

If filter is dried indoors, take precautions, such as placing towels, etc under the filter to prevent wa- ter damage to the floor.

6 Reinstall the Filters.

Reinstall the filters as shown on Page E-6,7. Dry filter completely before replacing to pre- vent odours.

Do not operate unit without all filters properly installed.
