Creating snapshots

To create snapshots using SAP LVM, do the following:

1.Log in to SAP LVM.

2.Click the Provisioning tab.

3.Click the System and AS Provisioning tab.

4.Click Manage System Snapshots to create the snapshot of the source LUN. The Take Snapshot dialog box appears.

5.You can change the default description of the snapshot, and click Take Snapshot. The snapshot of the source LUN is created.

After successful generation of the snapshot, the snapshot details are displayed.

Destroying snapshots

To destroy or remove existing snapshots, do the following:

1.Log in to SAP LVM.

2.Click the Provisioning tab.

3.Click the System and AS Provisioning tab.

4.Click Manage System Snapshots, and select the snapshot of the source LUN to be destroyed.

5.Click Remove Snapshot. The selected snapshot is removed.
