Using the Default Power Settings

The following tables describe the default procedures for turning on or shutting down the notebook and for initiating or resuming from Standby and Hibernation.

For information about changing the functions of the power button or the display switch, see “Setting Power Preferences” later in this chapter.

Turning the Notebook and Display On or Off
