New Software Setup Utility
Your notebook includes a new utility, Software Setup, which allows you to quickly install or restore all applications included with the notebook. Software Setup gives you the flexibility to install one or more applications, such as Compaq Diagnostics for Windows, as needed.
Software Setup replaces the Setup Compaq Software utility and the Compaq QuickRestore Application Recovery CD (formerly
part of Compaq QuickRestore), which are both described in your notebook documentation.
To access Software Setup, select Start > Software Setup. A setup wizard loads, and a list of applications is displayed. Select the application you want to install and follow the instructions on the screen.
✎To restore all system software, including the operating system, to the factory image, use the Compaq QuickRestore CD, which is included with the notebook.
