S27 Bitmapped Register

Selects the data bit(s) you want the modem set on, and sets S13 to the total of the values in the Value column. For example, ATS13.0=17 enables bit 0 (value 1) and bit 4 (value 16). Software compatibility mode (128) forces "9600" connect message for V.32 connections greater than 9600 bps for some software which cannot accept these messages.

1 = V.21 mode

2 = Disable TCM

4 = Disable V.32

8 = Disable 2100 Hz

16 = Enable V.23 fallback

32 = Disable V.32bis

128 = Software compatibility mode

S28 V.32 Handshake Time

Sets the V.32 handshaking time in tenths of a second. A value of 0 eliminates V.32 answer tones for a faster connection, while 255 disables all connections except V.32 at 9600 bps.

Range: 0 - 255

Default: 8

Units:

0.1 seconds

S29 V.21 Answer Mode Fallback Timer

Sets the duration, in tenths of a seconds, of the V.21 answer mode fallback timer.

Range: 0 - 255

Default: 20
